About the Breed
Maltese are Non-shedding and Non allergenic. One of the most
obvious things that make the Maltese such an attractive dog is the beautiful
while silky coat and black nose with the contrasting eyes and lips. Their
appeal also comes from the fearless and dynamic temperament.
The ideal Maltese is always under seven pounds in weight. They are among the
gentlest mannered of all little dogs. Yet lively and playful.
When considering the Maltese as a companion remember: their coat requires a
lot of brushing to keep it silky clean.
